Hoshino on Legendaries, M-B, and What's Next

May 2026 | Developer Update

Producer Masaaki Hoshino confirmed that Legendary Pokémon are planned for a future regulation, though they are unlikely to remain available permanently — suggesting a rotation-based approach. New Pokémon and items will arrive roughly every three months, with the first additions coming in Regulation Set M-B on June 17.

Hoshino also outlined the broader roadmap: new battle arenas and player-hosted tournaments are in development, mobile launch remains the current top priority, and replay functionality has been ruled out for now due to compatibility issues between game versions.
